What’s been going on? special

There’s been quite a bit of exciting events happening around here lately. Other than the fact that this coming financial year is looking to be one of my busiest ever with 15(!) weddings booked now, remember my July specials!, there have been awards dinners, adjustments to this website, portrait shoots and all sorts of other weird and wonderful stuff!
SA AIPP (SAPPA) Awards dinner

As I blogged about earlier I attended the South Australian Professional Photography Awards dinner run by the AIPP last week where the category winners from the recent judging were presented with their accolades. Just to recap, I was also quite successful in winning 4 silver awards during the judging process, but missed out on a category accolade. Hopefully next year?

A full run down of the category winners can be viewed here.

Alison and Stephen’s Waterfall Gulley wedding

Last weekend I was treated to one of the easiest weddings I’ve ever shot in Alison and Stephen’s wedding. The bride and groom, along with all the guests were such a treat to work with. Always super bubbly and approachable, really made me feel appreciated and welcome on their special day. The venues they chose to hold the event in were superb in a photographic sense also, starting off their ceremony at the Clayton Wesley Uniting Church in Norwood which features a stunning organ and beautifully gothic moson work, we then went to Oasis in Waterfall gulley for the reception. A more beautiful winter wedding location I can’t think of in Adelaide. All in all, an absolutely wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to dig into all the photos I took of the day!

Changed this blog to a ‘Dofollow’ format

Those of you not too familiar with the inner workings of websites and how they rank well on google searches might not find this information very useful, but generally speaking google searches for links to other websites to gauge their popularity and quality. Each time you comment on a blog such as this one below, you have the option to add a website to link to. Normally blogs don’t allow google to see these websites because they are generally allocated as ‘nofollow’ links. So in the interest of making my blog and website easier to find on google I changed any blog comment on this page to ‘Dofollow’ so that commenters get backlinks to their page.

Upcoming shoots

I have an other family shoot booked on this Sunday, but the next wedding isn’t until October! Remember everyone I’m still running a 10% off the entire invoice special for any new bookings made in July! Not long left to take advantage of this.
