Photographing Time Exhibition

I’m super excited to invite everyone whos interested in my photography to a solo exhibition showcasing a personal project of mine that I have been working on for several years titled ‘Photographing Time’. These are a series of photographs – or more accurately ‘solargraphs’ which depict the transition of the sun over extremely long passages of time, ranging from weeks to months per image. I have produced these images using hand-made cameras fixed across the city, documenting the transition of the sun and cloud cover during the several month exposure times these images depict. Scenes on display include St Peter’s cathedral, the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and other locations about South Australia.

My upcoming ‘Photographing Time’ exhibition was chosen to be a part of this year’s Shimmer Photography biennale run by the Onkaparinga council, with all images in display printed and framed to the highest standard and placed into a limited edition run for sale on my Art site Each of the images have been recognised with individual awards by the National AIPP awards, while also earning me the 2017 title of Science, Wildlife and Wildplaces Photographer of the year.

The Shimmer biennale begins on September 14, with an opening party being held at the Onkaparinga centre for the arts from 6:30. Arts Centre, 22 Gawler St, Port Noarlunga. While ‘Photographing Time’ will be on display from this date, I’m holding a simple meet and greet around lunch time on Sunday, September 16th at the Chapel Hill Winery, which I’d love for you to visit!
