Hot off the jetlag I’m still suffering from because of the wedding I just covered in Greece, as you’re reading this I’m now sitting in Darwin for a wedding in the top end. I’m so incredibly blessed to have the opportunities to travel to capture couple’s weddings like this and I wouldn’t trade it for any job in the world! It’s always been a goal of mine to be able to travel the world while taking photos, and I’m just starting to realise this dream!
Darwin Wedding Photographer
Since my first wedding in Darwin – back in 2016, and the launch of my Darwin Wedding Photography website I’ve been booking weddings in Darwin rather regularly, with 2 weddings this year, and 1 next year so far, it’s a wonderful way to keep busy during the winter months as the wedding scene in Adelaide kind of dies down a bit during this time of year, and the wedding season in Darwin picks up.
I love heading to Darwin for weddings as it’s an incredible spot, it’s sunsets and beaches that overlook the sea is second to none in the world and if the bridal couple is more adventurous, some the most iconic sights of the Northern Territory is a car trip away – takes a bit of effort, but it’s well worth the trip! As many of you may know, my most awarded images come from the genre of landscape photography – having won the state title of landscape photographer of the year in 2016 – so I love the idea of combining my two passions of landscape and wedding photography!
With the advent of the latest Australian blockbuster, Top End Wedding – it’s looking as though plenty of people are looking to head up north for their own weddings, which is pretty awesome as it’s such an amazing place to hold your ceremony! I’d certainly be open to anyone planning a wedding up there if you’re looking for a photographer! I’ll be sure to produce an awesome deal if you are! The fun thing about this particular movie is that they head right up north to the remote Tiwi Islands as part of the movie, and I actually happen to have covered an engagement shoot on the islands earlier in 2018 for the very couple that I’m covering their wedding for tomorrow! Very much looking forward to it!
