Emily and Andrew celebrated their love at The House on Haines, nestled at the base of the Adelaide Hills. Although the day was a bit wet and gloomy, it didn’t dampen the spirits of this lovely couple and their guests!
Emily and Andrew chose to embrace the weather and make it a part of their memorable day. So, grab your favorite drink, get cozy, and let’s dive into all the fantastic moments of this gorgeous Adelaide Hills wedding!
Andrew’s Preparation
The morning was filled with anticipation as Andrew and his groomsmen got ready at the couple’s home. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and even the two fur babies of the house were caught up in the enthusiasm. After all, it’s not every day that their parents get married!
While there were many memorable moments, one light-hearted one was when a groomsman brought out a dozen different watches, unsure of which one to wear. It was a funny moment amidst the hustle and bustle of the morning. After getting ready, the groomsmen went for a short walk in a nearby park for some group shots before heading to the girls.

Emily’s Preparation at the Yatahlia Manor
Emily prepared for her big day at the stunning Yatahlia Manor, a beautiful house set amongst breathtaking grounds, complete with separate wings for all kinds of different photo shoots. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to use the grounds much, but we certainly made the most of the modern manor in all its glory. This included a tear-jerking first look with Emily’s father under the eaves of the main courtyard.
The Yatahlia Manor was the perfect backdrop for Emily’s preparation. The excitement in the air was palpable as Emily got ready with the help of her bridesmaids and family. Every detail, from her dress to her shoes, was carefully chosen and looked absolutely perfect.
Emily’s bridal bouquet was adorned with special charms that we had the honor of making for her. They were made of silver and surrounded by sparkling rhinestones, adding a touch of elegance and personalization to her bouquet. It was one of the first sets of bouquet charms we had made, and seeing them in Emily’s bouquet was incredibly rewarding. It’s always special to contribute to a bride’s big day in such a meaningful way.

The House on Haines Wedding Ceremony
The House on Haines wedding ceremony took place under a sea of umbrellas as the weather threatened to rain heavily throughout the event. Fortunately, it didn’t too much! Emily and Andrew decided to hold their ceremony outside on the grassy area near the house, regardless of the weather. Their celebrants made the ceremony a lot of fun by drawing their guests into the festivities in an interactive way.
Their dogs made a special appearance as ring bearers, eagerly making their way towards their parents. It was a sweet and touching moment that added a personal touch to the ceremony.

Anstey Hill Glamour Photos
For the glamour photos, we headed to Anstey Hill, just across the road. The space allowed for beautiful scenes shot through the foliage of gum trees, and the occasional spark of the sun making an appearance through the clouds. The bridal party was quite cold, so it wasn’t uncommon for the groomsmen to share their suit jackets with the bridesmaids.
The rain started to get quite heavy just as we left for the reception, but we managed to capture some beautiful moments amidst the natural beauty of Anstey Hill.

The House on Haines Wedding Reception
Emily and Andrew’s reception at The House on Haines was a blast! Guests were super keen on having a good time, and there were short but sweet speeches and a game of ‘shoe game‘ that made everyone laugh. Emily and Andrew had a large lit sign out on the decking as a backdrop to the night.
The only distraction was the Matildas game against France in the Women’s World Cup. The penalty shootout was tense, but it added an extra layer of excitement to the reception! At least one table was super excited bout it!

Welcome to the charming love story of Hayley and Sam as they tied the knot in the breathtaking setting of Cullen Bay. The sun was shining brightly on their special day, and nature seemed to bless them with a beautiful tree that provided the perfect shade. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and delightful moments that will be cherished forever.
Preparation
As the big day dawned, Sam and his groomsmen were pumped with excitement as they got ready at a friend’s house. The camaraderie and energy were infectious! Laughter echoed through the rooms as they shared stories and memories -largely relating to the armed forces, creating an incredible atmosphere to start the day. It was evident that Sam was surrounded by friends who cherished him, and they were all geared up to make the day unforgettable.

Cullen Bay Wedding Ceremony
Hayley and Sam held their ceremony at the small Cullen Bay performance space, overlooking the breathtaking beach. The couple had agonised over the seating positioning of their guests as the space wasn’t very large, but their 12 person bridal party certainly was!
With the gentle sea breeze and the soft sound of waves, the atmosphere was pure magic. The ceremony was short, sweet, and filled with heartfelt vows that had everyone smiling, laughing, and shedding a few happy tears.
During their vows I discovered a shared passion for Diablo with Hayley and Sam! We couldn’t help but chat about the upcoming Diablo 4 release, and that added a fun twist to their wedding day banter.

As someone who knows every nook and cranny of this beautiful location, I am well-equipped to capture your special day with creativity and passion! However I cannot be in two places at once! So here are some tips and tricks I’ve developed for shooting some Manor Basket Range wedding photography.
What makes the Manor So Special?
Situated just a short 30-minute drive from the bustling CBD, The Manor Basket Range is a true escape from the city and an idyllic location to revel in the finest hospitality the region has to offer for a myriad of events. Nestled amidst the rolling hills, adorned with picturesque apple and cherry orchards in the valleys, this venue is truly a sight to behold simply because it’s a freaking Castle! Certainly not something you’d expect to find in this corner of the world.

The styling at The Manor Basket Range is truly one of a kind. The castle-like vibe of the venue adds an air of elegance and grandeur to any wedding day. Every corner of the estate is thoughtfully crafted to enhance the experience, from the giant chessboard to the intricately designed garden beds. As a photographer, I love exploring the venue and finding unique angles and perspectives to capture the stunning details that make The Manor Basket Range so special.
The Manor Basket Range wedding Reception
Ok, so it’s a castle, so will all our photos be medieval?
One of my favorite things about Manor Basket Range wedding photography is how the venue changes with the seasons. Whether it’s the colorful leaves in autumn, the blooming flowers in spring, or the cozy fireplace in winter, every season brings its own charm and beauty to the venue. It provides endless opportunities for stunning and unique wedding photos that truly capture the essence of the couple’s special day.
Bride and groom in the foliage of orchard
While much of the backdrops available on the grounds has a heavy dose of medieval stone work and one might be forgiven for thinking there is a knight around every corner – there are spots both on the ground, or nearby where you might think you’re in the middle of a dense rainforest, near a river or in the middle of a field.

A fake castle in the Adelaide Hills? Sounds cheesy..
The Manor Basket Range is a haven for couples who embrace the unconventional and dare to be different on their wedding day. These couples appreciate the traditions of a wedding ceremony but also yearn to infuse their own personality and style into every aspect of their special day. They are not afraid to break away from the norm and add their own unique twist, making their wedding a true reflection of their individuality.
Bouquet toss from moving car
Working with such couples is an absolute joy for me, as I get to witness their creativity and adventurous spirit come to life in their wedding photos. From capturing their personalized details and creative decorations to documenting their heartfelt moments and candid emotions, I strive to tell their love story in the most authentic way possible.
Love heart drone photo of wedding
The Manor Basket Range provides the perfect canvas for these couples to create their dream wedding, with its unconventional and charming elements that lend themselves beautifully to creative photography. As their wedding photographer, I am honored to be a part of their journey, capturing their love and uniqueness in every shot. If you are a couple who appreciates the unconventional and desires a wedding photographer who understands your vision, The Manor Basket Range is the perfect venue for you
Fighting Knights
I often bump into other unconventional wedding celebrants at a Manor Basket Range wedding too – like Bob Mcgilchrist or Deborah Lilley who both have a bit of a tendancy to jump at the chance to get dressed up and really gel into the vibe of whatever it is you’re planning for your day!
The Manor Basket range wedding Ceremony
These couples are not afraid to go against the grain and do something different, such as a grand entrance on a magic carpet into their reception, or perhaps riding inflatable horses? In my experience, couples who tie the knot at The Manor Basket Range exude a relaxed, easy-going vibe that perfectly aligns with my natural wedding photography style. It’s a pleasure to capture their carefree and fun-loving personalities, and I believe my own personality meshes seamlessly with theirs. Together, we create unforgettable memories that reflect their unique love story in the most authentic way.
