Glanville Hall

St Maximilian Church Wedding

Glanville Hall is a venue near the shoreline of Semaphore beach that is perfect for the bridal couple that needs a venue that oozes class and opulence. Glanville Hall was built in 1856 as a lavish family home for Captain John Hart, a retired mariner, cattle merchant, significant land owner, keen politician and South Australia’s first Premier. The architectural features of the sweeping house give a fascinating glimpse into life in colonial South Australia. It is a gracious home and a fine example of English design adapted to our warm and dry Australian climate.

Wedding ceremonies often take place in the grassy area out the back of the house, while receptions can be set up both inside the house, or on the same grassy area outside.
