McCracken Country Club Wedding – Kim & Josh
McCracken Country Club Wedding – Kim & Josh
The McCracken Country Club in Victor Harbour was the venue for the lovely wedding of Kim and Josh. Held in early November, the weather was absolutely perfect for Victor Harbour, very sunny and with no wind it was a great day. The fun personality of Kim and Josh really allowed for some beautiful, and often outlandish images to be taken. Kim and Josh had me as their wedding photographer and utilised my flexible full day package in order to have me capture their entire day from preparation right though to the end of their reception.
Preparation Photos
Both Kim and Josh got ready in the grounds of the country club which has a variety of accommodations ranging from full on holiday houses, where Josh was getting prepared, to hotel rooms. Josh and his groomsmen were a fun loving bunch eager to go out of their way to capture some fun silly shots including, but not limited to an overdose on gummy bears and having a dinosaur chasing them.
Kim and her bridesmaids were getting prepared in the hotel’s Presidential suite overlooking the golf course and the location for their wedding ceremony. The room was nice and large, and with lovely elegant dresses the girls were wearing it was a simple task to capture some dreamlike and timeless memories from the last time Kim would keep her maiden name.
McCracken Country Club Wedding Ceremony
The McCracken Country Club has a great offering for weddings, with two locations ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions, coupled with it’s beautifully landscaped gardens which are ideal for photographs, and panoramic views over their golf course it makes for a great venue in the middle of Victor Harbour. Kim and Josh’s wedding took place near the waterfall and duck pond near the main club house, which is directly above the first tee and practice putting green.
Victor Harbour glamour photoshoot
After the ceremony we headed out to Victor Harbour with the bridal party for a few hours to take some glamour shots. We headed down to the Granite Island causeway, and used the nearby historic train station then headed out over to the bluff but we soon ran out of time and did not have long there. As with the dinosaur shot above, we also took some time to do a few silly shots with photoshopped in monsters, but I have not uploaded them here, instead preferring to surprise Kim and Josh on their USB.
Reception
We headed back to the Clubhouse for Kim and Josh’s reception where they had a lovely sit down reception complete with photobooth and rocking entry where they all entered in outrageous costumes. It was a fun reception with most of their guests eager to dance the night away.
I’d like to thank Kim and Josh for having me as their wedding photographer at their wedding and I very much wish them all the best!
