The best proposal photographs feel intimate because the person being proposed to has no reason to perform for a camera. Depending on the location, Steven may look like another visitor, photograph from a distance with a long lens—or occasionally take concealment to slightly ridiculous extremes.
Before the day, you will receive a precise plan covering where to stand, which direction to face and how to recognise the moment. Backup arrangements for weather and crowds can be settled in advance too.
That preparation protects the spontaneity. Once you arrive, your only job is to be together and ask.
