Announcing the Winner of the 2021 Wedding Photo of the Year

Once again, my annual wedding photo of the year contest has come to a close and once again the record number of votes cast has been smashed with no fewer than 649 votes being cast!

Due to the international nature of some of the weddings I covered in 2020 – despite COVID restrictions – a record number of international votes weree also recorded, with only 417 of the votes originating in Australia!

I run my annual photo of the year contest as a bit of a thankyou to all of the wedding couples that had chosen me as their wedding photographer in the past year, and it also allows me to learn a little bit about what my past couples see as their best photo from their wedding photography collection. their selection is always interesting to me as it may not have been my personal favourite from their wedding day – but it really isn’t my choice that matters!

Winner of the 2021 Wedding Photo of the Year

Jayne Pete
Jayne Pete

Jayne and Pete held their wedding at the wonderful Paxton Winery in Mclaren vale right at the beginning of all the COVID nonsense that has rocked the world. In fact i seem to remember that COVID restrictions in SA were put in place within days of their wedding – possibly the very next day – I’m not sure.

With a strong overseas contingent in their guest list, I had heard stories of everyone making a mad dash back home a bit sooner than expected!

Jayne and Pete were super lucky to have hosted possibly the last ‘normal’ wedding of 2020, and now they – with the help of their friends and family’s votes – have won a $500 gift voucher to spend on whatever they like in my online shop!

Winner of the Voter’s prize

As a bit of encouragement for people to cast their vote for the winner of the 2021 wedding photo of the year, I offer a AUD$100 cash prize to a randomly drawn name that cast their vote. The winner of this prize goes to –

Emily S.

Congratulations to Emily S. I will be getting in contact with you soon using the email you used to vast your vote.

Discount code for all who voted

As a bit of a surprise too for all voters I’m offering a 21% discount on gift certificates now available in my online store! Because it’s 2021!

I know many of you cast your vote in order to help your chosen couple win a nice big print of their favourite photos – here’s your chance to make it easier on them! 😀

I’ve sent out an email that contains a special discount code to each of you that ticked the little ‘subscribe’ button. If you would like to recieve the coupon code – feel free to contact me and I’ll send it out to all those who voted.

I’d like to thank all those couples who took part in this year’s edition of the SvenStudios wedding photo of the year! It’s always a bit of fun to see how people react to their photography, and even more interesting to see how much people want to vote in the background!

Rest assured those of you who managed to bypass my anti-cheating system and managed to vote more than once were caught 😉 Shows great passion behind trying to help out their family member or friend! Got to keep things fair though!

Be sure to make use of the 21% off discount code for those of you who voted! It expires at the end of August!
