Edge Church Findon Wedding – Pauline & Andrew
Preparation
Andrew and his groomsmen were being prepared in a bed and breakfast room in the city – which was the very same room I had been in before for another wedding! Seems like a popular spot! I did however arrive early – as I usually do, so Andrew and his entourage had head down for breakfast, so i began the day with a cup of coffee! Was great!
Pauline was being prepared at a friend’s house along with her bridal party. Pauline was in good spirits all morning, with an excited energy which permiated the entire day!
It was wonderful to see that despite her family being stuck overseas due to the pandemic, she had made what they called her ‘surrogate family’ to help her on her wedding day.
Edge Church Findon Wedding Ceremony
The great thing about being a wedding photographer is heading to all the different wedding venues, not just in Adelaide, but around the world. Andrew and Pauline’s Edge Church Findon wedding was one such occasion, heading to the church on Grange road.
The Edge Church in Findon is a modern church, with a high tech setup, complete with on site cafe and a central chapel area decked out with lighting and sound systems that would rival any entertainment venue.
Pauline and Andrew’s ceremony was a fun affair, complete with chior singing, and guests who got right into the spirit of the occasion. Guests joined in with readings of passages which made for a lovely family affair.
Glamour Photos
After the group photos which we took in front of the church, with their motorcade, Andrew, Pauline and their entourage head off into the city to make use of the interesting photo locations they had scouted out previously.
We parked under the Intercontinental Hotel to make use of the hidden stair well they have there, while it also enabled us to use the beautiful architecture in and around the Adelaide railway station. The plan was to take some photos within the Guardsman bar within the railway station – however due to a breakdown in communication, was not able to 🙁
We also used the on site golf carts at the Kooyonga Golf club before Pauline and Andrew’s wedding reception to take a few photos out on the course before the rain set in for the rest of daylight hours. Lucky we got to sneak out during the night for a spot of light painting and use of smoke!
Kooyonga Golf Club Wedding Reception
Pauline and Andrew’s wedding reception took place at the Kooyonga Golf club, within it’s newly renovated clubhouse which includes space for small to medium sized parties.
The night was intermingled with heartfelt speeches from guests and family members – but one that stood out to be was one particular speech where they had earlier in the night asked everyone in attendance to answer a survey on the newly wed couple using their mobile phones via QR code. During his speech he read out the survey’s results which made for some interesting statistics and made for a bit of fun!
I’d like to thank Pauline and Andrew for having me as their wedding photographer!
