Utopia @ Waterfall Gully Wedding Videography
As an Adelaide based wedding videographer, there is no better wedding venue than Waterfall Gully for producing some incredible scenes. I also love being a photographer here, but this post is about my videography! 😀
The whole setting is something straight out of a Tolkein story, and surprisingly is still one of the best kept secrets in all of Adelaide! Being the capital of the driest state in the driest country in the world, Adelaide isnt overly famed for having waterfalls all over the place, but the multiple falls in Waterfall Gully and around Moriolta makes for a stunning oasis in what is otherwise quite a dry location.
Utopia @ Waterfall Gully is the usual choice for wedding receptions when hosting a Waterfall Gully wedding. It’s old world charm and intimate decor both inside and out makes for a stunning backdrop for any wedding. The only issue being that it’s not the largest venue, which means larger weddings might not fit – but it’s still an incredible sight when decked out for a wedding.
Most wedding ceremonies that occur in waterfall gully take place on a small patch of grass nearby a stone gazebo at the foot of the hill that the Utopia chalet is perched. It’a a spot that is always surrounded by foliage no matter what time of year it is, and provides ample shade for guests if it’s a hot summer day.
Examples of Waterfall Gully Wedding Videography
As I cover more weddings at Waterfall Gully as a wedding videographer, I’ll be updating this list of highlight videos I’ve put together for my bridal couples!
Tracy & Jarred
The day’s weather was perfect for such a stunning venue, and the people involved made the day such a wonderful experience!
Their day began as it generally does with preparation at Jarred and his groomsmen place of preparation, a characterful house with some lovely moody light – then headed to the city for a hotel room where Tracy and her bridesmaids were being prepared. The hotel made for some neat shots in the lobby!
Tracy and Jarred opted to hold their ceremony facing away from the main waterfall on the gassy ceremony location, with Tracy making the large trek down the hill as a grand entrance rather than taking the easy route from the car park.
The best time of day for waterfall gully wedding videography is towards the end of the day, which was perfect as the majority of the time we spent taking photos and videos was quite late int he day, being announced at Utopia a little later than usual.
Tom & Jana
Tom and Jana held their wedding ceremony with the hill behind the grassy ceremony area allowing for the backdrop for their photos and video being the lovely green foliage that is on display at this time of year.
Their day was full of fun and full of friends and their cars made for a great center piece for their entire day! One of the main reasons why Tom and Jana chose me for their waterfall gully wedding videography was my prowess with the drone! The cars certainly looked great from the air – that and it’s always a lot of fun flying towards the main waterfall with the incredible scene of the bride and groom in front of it.
