Most recent weddings I’ve covered here
The Watershed – or the Wathershed Cafe is a small function center located just outside of Mawson lakes nearby the Salisbury Highway and nestled in amongst the Greenfields Wetland.
Most of the time the Watershed cafe is a nice little restaurant with sweeping views of the nearby wetlands, while when a wedding venue it transforms into a little oasis of cute traditional wedding vibes, while again being surrounded by the lush wetlands despite being very nearby civilisation.
Ceremonies can be held in a number of locations, including under the roof located on the balcony which makes for a nice frameing device for small to medium sized weddings. Other locations include the open balcony overlooking the water as a backdrop, or even the grassy fields found on the other side of the car park.
Timing your ceremony is important if you want to use the bearby wetlands for photo opportunities as the walk away from the cafe can be long and ceremonies are usually scheduled later in the day due to the venue’s usual business being a public cafe and restaurant.
For receptions, the Watershed boasts a large function space lined with white curtains and boasting an impressive windowed wall at one end looking out over the water.
