Preparation

The day started at Etienne’s parent’s, where excitement was palpable. His groomsmen and parents gathered in a beautiful upper-story room filled with natural light streaming through a delightful window. This serene setting provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the moments of camaraderie as the boys helped each other get ready. With Mum and Dad watching on and helping out with pride, there were countless candid moments that showcased the bond and love within the family.

Etienne’s preparation was not just about getting dressed; it was a celebration of friendships and family ties. After the indoor shots, we took a short walk to a nearby park lined with neat rows of olive trees. This outdoor session allowed for some relaxed and natural photos of Etienne with his groomsmen, adding a touch of greenery and elegance to the album.

The transformation of the conservatory area from ceremony space to reception venue was seamless and impressive. Guests enjoyed a break at the bar while the room was prepared for the evening’s festivities. The reception was a lively celebration filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and lots of dancing. The atmosphere was electric, with laughter and joy filling the air.

Natasha and Steve’s night time Lot 100 wedding was a magical affair, filled with beautiful moments and unique challenges. The night-time setting added an extra layer of charm and intimacy, making their wedding day truly unforgettable. From a pre-ceremony concert to a glamour photoshoot under the stars, every detail was meticulously planned and executed to (almost) perfection.

Pre-ceremony concert

Before the ceremony even began, the air was filled with the soothing sounds of a harpist, setting a serene and enchanting tone for the evening. Natasha’s friends, who are talented performers, graced the gathering with their music, creating an atmosphere of calm and elegance. The harp’s delicate notes seemed to dance in the air, weaving a tapestry of sound that wrapped everyone in a warm embrace. Night Time Lot 100 Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony itself was scheduled to conclude after dark, adding a layer of mystery and romance to the event. Natasha and Steve chose Lot 100 for its rustic charm and natural beauty, and it did not disappoint. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the venue transformed into a wonderland of twinkling lights and shadows. However, the darkness also posed a unique challenge – the ceremony area became quite dark, making it difficult for the couple and their celebrant to read their vows.

Fortunately, I had anticipated this and came prepared with my lighting equipment. As the celebrant required I was ready to step in and set up lights to ensure everyone could see clearly. This allowed Natasha and Steve to focus on each other and their heartfelt vows, without worrying about the lack of light. The soft glow from the lights added a romantic ambiance to the ceremony, enhancing the beauty of the moment.

Night Time Glamour Photos

Once the ceremony was over, it was time for the glamour photoshoot. Natasha and Steve were prepared for a nighttime shoot, but perhaps not for how dark it would actually be. The grounds of Lot 100 offered the perfect backdrop for some truly unique and moody shots. Armed with several lights, we set out to explore the venue, making the most of the darkness to create some stunning images.

The absence of a full moon added to the challenge, as we were hoping to be able to recreate an image I took last time I was at Lot 100, but also provided an opportunity to get creative. We ventured into the paddocks, carefully avoiding cow pats and occasionally getting startled by sleeping cows. The experience was both adventurous and fun, resulting in some incredible photos that captured the essence of the night. The darkness allowed us to play with light and shadow, creating dramatic and artistic images that Natasha and Steve will cherish forever.

Lot 100 Wedding Reception

Although we arrived a bit late and missed the Gaelic singing by one of Natasha’s friends, the atmosphere was still filled with excitement and happiness. The venue, known for its exceptional food and warm hospitality, did not disappoint. As soon as the food started coming out, the smiles and laughter filled the room, creating a festive and celebratory mood.

The reception was a perfect blend of fun and elegance. The beautifully decorated space, the delicious food, and the lively music all came together to create an unforgettable evening. Natasha and Steve’s friends and family celebrated with them, dancing the night away and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The Manor Wedding -Tracey & Kaeden

Tracey and Kaeden’s wedding at The Manor Basket Range was nothing short of enchanting. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Adelaide Hills, their special day was filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of magic. It was a delightful midweek day in April, where the grounds were painted with the rich, warm hues of autumn. The Manor’s historic charm and stunning gardens provided the perfect setting for this unforgettable celebration of love.

We arrived a bit earlier than planned, even though we were initially asked to start at the ceremony. The opportunity to capture some pre-ceremony moments with Tracey and her bridal party was too good to pass up. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as Tracey and her closest friends prepared for the big day. The bridal suite was a flurry of activity, with hair, makeup, and laughter filling the air. Tracey’s radiant smile and the twinkle in her eyes spoke volumes about her happiness.

Pre-Ceremony

The pre-ceremony moments are always a favorite to capture. There’s something truly special about the bride and her bridesmaids sharing these last few hours before the wedding. The ceremony took place in front of The Manor’s charming little chapel, a picturesque spot that seems straight out of a fairy tale. As the guests settled into their seats, an air of anticipation filled the venue. Kaeden stood at the altar, his excitement palpable. The moment he saw Tracey approach, his joy was unmistakable. He was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, his grin wide enough to rival any Dr. Seuss character.

We also took advantage of The Manor’s iconic castle keep, using it as a backdrop both during the daylight and at night. The dramatic architecture and the play of light and shadow created some truly breathtaking images. As the sun set and the stars came out, the castle keep took on a whole new level of enchantment. The Manor Wedding Reception

The reception took place in the grand hall upstairs, a space that exuded elegance and charm. The room was beautifully decorated, with twinkling fairy lights and stunning floral arrangements that added to the romantic ambiance. Tracey and Kaeden’s entrance was met with cheers and applause from their guests, who were eager to celebrate this joyous occasion.

One of the highlights of the evening was the couple’s first dance. Tracey and Kaeden had choreographed a dance to a number of popular songs, and their performance was a hit. Tracey had changed into her grandmother’s wedding dress for the occasion, a touching tribute that left everyone in awe. The dress was a timeless piece, and Tracey looked absolutely stunning in it. Their dance was a beautiful blend of grace and fun, setting the tone for a night filled with celebration.

A particularly fun part of the evening was the slideshow of Tracey and Kaeden’s baby photos. Guests laughed and reminisced as they watched the couple’s journey from childhood to their wedding day. During one of the speeches, Tracey and Kaeden were presented with a unique plant named after them, a lovely and thoughtful gift that symbolized their growing love. Kirsty and Chris chose the stunning Sneakys Restaurant in Angle Vale for their wedding, a decision that set the scene for a truly magical day. As their wedding photographer, capturing the essence of their special day at such a picturesque venue was a delightful challenge. The sun dappled through the lush vineyards, casting an enchanting glow over every moment. From the vibrant greenery that surrounded the area to the heartfelt smiles of everyone involved, the setting provided a perfect backdrop for this unforgettable event.

The couple’s choice of Sneakys Restaurant underscored their love for elegance and nature, both of which are abundant at this Northern-Adelaide venue. Each detail of the venue complimented the day’s theme, from the meticulously laid out ceremony space overlooking the vineyards to the cozy, inviting reception area upstairs. It was clear that Kirsty and Chris had thoughtfully curated each element to reflect their personalities and love story.

Preparation

The day began the childhood home of Kirsty, south of Adelaide. It was here, in a room filled with nostalgia and morning sunlight, that Kirsty and her bridesmaids shared laughter and a few joyful tears as they prepared. The air buzzed with excitement, punctuated by the clicks and whirrs of my Super 8 camera — although I had an early mishap where I dropped it! haha – it was all part of the day’s adventures! The bridesmaids, dressed in chic, pastel gowns, flitted around Kirsty, who looked radiant in her flowing bridal dress.

Amidst the giggles and the final touches of makeup, there was a sense of serene happiness. The bridesmaids shared stories and reminisced, enveloped by the warmth of the home and the presence of Wal from Footrot Flats overseeing the scene. It was a morning filled with perfect moments, the kind that are a joy to capture, showcasing not just beauty but the bonds of lifelong friendships.

Closer to Sneakys, Chris and his groomsmen were getting ready in their own laid-back style. The atmosphere was relaxed but filled with anticipation. Photographs of Chris adjusting his tie or sharing a laugh with his groomsmen captured the camaraderie and the subtle nerves of the groom. An essential part of their morning was spending time with Chris’s beloved dogs, adding a personal and joyful touch to the preparations.

We ventured outside to a nearby park, where the natural light was perfect for some casual yet striking shots of the boys. The laughter and light-hearted jokes made for natural, candid photos that perfectly depicted Chris’s personality and his relationship with his closest friends. These moments, simple yet profound, are what make wedding photography so rewarding.

As guests began to arrive for this Sneakys Restaurant wedding, they were greeted by a scene straight out of a fairy tale. The ceremony setup faced the vineyards, with the sun positioning itself perfectly to enhance the natural beauty of the location. Kirsty’s entrance was a breath-taking moment, her silhouette framed by the natural light, creating a picture-perfect scene as she walked down the aisle.

The ceremony itself was short but incredibly sweet, filled with intimate vows and soft, joyous music that echoed through the vineyards. Following the ceremony, we took group photos with the guests, capturing the joy and love of everyone gathered. But the true photographic adventure began as we escaped with the bridal party to the nearby forest. The contrast of the elegant wedding attire against the rugged, natural backdrop created stunning visual juxtapositions. Kirsty and Chris were naturals, their love and happiness radiating, making every photo effortlessly beautiful.

As the evening unfolded, the reception took place in the charming upper area of Sneakys Restaurant. The intimate space was filled with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses, as guests celebrated Kirsty and Chris’s new journey together. Southern Adelaide was showing off with perfect weather—sunny skies and just a hint of a breeze, ideal for capturing Mellora and Dan’s magnificent wedding day. Held at the iconic St Francis Winery, the setting couldn’t have been more picturesque for this joyful occasion.

Old Noarlunga, with its rustic charm and sweeping vineyard views, provided the perfect backdrop. Mellora’s Preparation

The day kicked off in the St Francis bridal suite, bustling with excitement. Mellora, alongside her bridesmaids and her mother, was a vision of calm and happiness. The suite was filled with laughter and playful banter as they got ready. The air was light, charged with anticipation and the sweet sound of giggling echoed as they shared moments of joy while prepping for the big day.

Capturing these intimate moments is always special. The interaction, the detailed shots of the wedding dress, shoes, and jewelry, all contribute to the narrative of the day. First Looks

The excitement peaked during the first looks. Mellora and her father shared a heartfelt moment under the famed weeping willows at St Francis Winery. This was one of those instances where you could genuinely feel the love and pride radiating from her dad. Meanwhile, Dan made his grand entrance in a giant Hummer, wine bottle in hand, embodying the spirit of celebration.

As Dan stepped out, ready for his own first look, a groomsman played a cheeky trick, tapping him on the shoulder before Mellora could. The laughter and surprise captured in those photos are some of my favorites. It’s moments like these that add a personal touch to the wedding album, making it uniquely theirs.

Pre Ceremony Glamour Photos

Before the ceremony, we explored the St Francis grounds for some glamour shots. The rustic stonework of the winery, combined with the natural light filtering through the branches, created an ethereal setting. Mellora and Dan were naturals in front of the camera, their love and excitement palpable, making every photo vibrant with emotion.

These sessions are always an adventure, discovering new angles and using the natural beauty of Old Noarlunga to enhance the romantic feel of the day. The couple’s easy-going nature allowed us to experiment with different poses and settings, resulting in stunning, magazine-worthy photographs.

Old Noarlunga Winery Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony itself was a blend of elegance and quirky moments. Set against the backdrop of the winery’s old stone buildings, the scene was picturesque. As Mellora walked down the aisle, the air was thick with anticipation. The ceremony was filled with laughter, notably when Mellora’s mum received a stuffed goat as a ‘dowry’—a hilarious family inside joke that had everyone in stitches.

The handfasting ritual, where Mellora and Dan bound their hands together as a symbol of their union, was particularly moving. It was a beautiful testament to their commitment, sealed with a heartfelt kiss, which I captured in a series of tender, emotive shots.

Post-ceremony, we took advantage of the golden hour, venturing a short distance from the venue for more glamour photos. This part of the day allows for some relaxed, yet striking captures. With the soft, fading light creating a golden glow around them, Mellora and Dan looked utterly in love, completely at ease as they strolled through the vineyards.

These moments are precious; they reflect a pause in the hustle of the day, giving the couple a chance to soak in their newlywed status while I document these first moments of their journey together.

The reception at St Francis Winery was nothing short of spectacular. With speeches that ranged from touching to uproariously funny, and a dance floor that was never empty, the atmosphere was electric.
