Woodstock Wines Wedding – Lisa & Simon
The Adelaide weather towards the end of November and Start of December was certainly something that could not be predicted! Only the week prior I was across the road at Beresford Estate for a wedding in the rain, and then the next week at Lisa and Simon’s Woodstock Wines wedding in harsh sunlight!
Lisa and Simon’s day was beautifully laid back, full of people who simply wanted to celebrate the coming together of this lovely couple with no fuss – it was a delight for both my wife and I to be a part of!
Preparation
Lisa was prepared north of the city at their family home alongside her bridal party and parents. Inbetween running after the kids, Lisa and her bridal squad got ready with little fuss, pausing for a first look with Mum and Day out the front, and then a champagne pop – which is always a lot of fun!
Lisa and Simon asked my wife to head in the other direction so that she could cover the photography of the boys were being prepared at the on-site bed and breakfast available at Woodstock winery. They certainly wasted no time getting ready!
Woodstock Wines Wedding Ceremony
After heading back from the girl’s preparation, I managed to get back to Woodstock Winery early, which allowed me to finish setting up the photobooth that I had dropped off earlier in the morning. I couldn’t set it up earlier as Woodstock was open for lunch, so it had to wait until that was over.
Lisa and her bridal party arrived in a huge, silver limo, right up on the lawns in front of where their ceremony had been set up. After a little fussing about with making sure the page boys had everything, they led the party towards Simon, patiently waiting in the sun.
And what a sun! It was certainly warm out there in the direct sunlight! Thankfully Lisa and Simon’s ceremony wasn’t overly long, with some personal vows and a quick kiss before making the celebratory exit!
Glamour photos
After the ceremony, we took a quick group shot with the drone, and a few shots with the bridal party and the limo, but then the time between the ceremony and the reception was very laid back, with guests simply enjoying the open bar and beautiful weather!
It wasn’t until a bit later in the day when the sun was in a better spot before we went on a bit of a walk around the grounds for glamour photos.
We started right next to the reception hall, in the garden area – in which the sun was illuminating all the foliage in a spectacular way. Then we also head out to the nearby vinyard, closer to sunset to make use of the vines.
Woodstock Wines Wedding Reception
A beautifully sunny day, means a warm night, and always a relaxing way to spend an evening, sitting outside with a wine in hand. The whole night was a heap of fun, and everyone involved just wanted to have a great time.
Thankyou Lisa and Simon for having my wife and I as your wedding photographers! We really enjoyed ourselves, and we hope you enjoy your photos!
