Baby Spencer’s Newborn Shoot

Imagine capturing the most tender moments of a newborn, especially when they decide to make an appearance ahead of schedule. This was precisely the case with baby Spencer, our little superstar who arrived a tad earlier than expected. This turn of events meant that his parents and I had the joy of meeting him sooner to document his first days in this world right here in Adelaide. My home studio became the stage for this special session, where Spencer, an absolute angel, showcased his impeccable behavior, especially after his feeding session. His serenity was the perfect ingredient for a successful photoshoot.

The soft, natural light of my home studio poured over Spencer, creating a dreamy atmosphere that was both calming and inviting. Nestled comfortably on a large baby beanbag, he was the epitome of peace and contentment. This setting wasn’t just chosen by chance; it mirrored the warmth and security Spencer felt, making every shot we took filled with genuine tranquility. Trees Inbetween

On our way to Blanche Point, a breathtaking scene caught my eye – the sunlight filtering through the trees, creating a canvas of light and shadow. It was an impromptu stop, but sometimes the most unplanned moments turn out to be the most memorable ones. We stepped out, and under the dappled light of the trees, we captured some extraordinary photos. Blanche Point

Blanche Point, a popular spot for photographers and couples alike, was our next destination. As a wedding photographer used to the hustle and bustle of Saturdays, I wasn’t surprised to find other couples there, even on a Wednesday. However, this didn’t deter us; we found our own little slice of paradise along the cliff tops. The rugged coastline, with its panoramic views, was a breathtaking backdrop for Abbie and Lachie’s engagement photos.

We recreated the proposal scene on one of the cliff tops, capturing the emotion and excitement of their engagement. Their playful and loving interaction made every shot a masterpiece. And then, it was time for the ‘money shot’ – right on the edge of the cliff, with the vast ocean stretching out behind them. The initial plan was to use a local park in Aberfoyle Park, but we quickly switched gears to the stunning seaside setting, due to the untrimmed grass at the park.

The beach provided a magnificent backdrop for this family gathering. The sun cast a golden glow over the scene, enhancing the natural beauty and warmth of the day. It’s not every day you get to work with such a cooperative and spirited group. We started with large group shots, which was a fantastic way to get everyone involved right from the start.
