Tiny House on the Prairie Wedding – Kat & Stacey

Nestled right there in the Adelaide Hills, the Tiny House on the Prairie Wedding of Kat and Stacey was set up like a hidden gem. And who would’ve thought Cuddlee Creek would be home to such a mesmerizing spot? It’s a reasonably new wedding venue and it sure has its charm!

With the sun beaming down, casting its golden glow on every corner, the Tiny House on the Prairie was like an oasis amid secluded farmland. And that lake? Simply breathtaking! Its shimmering surface hinted at the adventures below – just ask that one audacious guest who suddenly felt the urge to fish!

With Kat and Stacey’s personal touches of an arcade machine tent, life sized cutouts of Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny, and even dog buscuit gifts for guests this wedding was sure to be a lot of fun!

Preparation

Imagine the sight: a dainty ‘tiny house’ in the middle of it all, echoing with giggles, excitement, and a touch of pre-wedding jitters. Inside, Kat was being transformed into a breathtaking bride. With her entourage making sure she looked incredible, her look came to life. All around her, an entourage buzzed – a blend of nerves, anticipation, and a whole lot of love.

Ah, and let’s not forget the quirky details. From dainty rainbow pins to subtle Bugs Bunny accessories, hints of their cherished pet names were everywhere. Such personal touches really do make all the difference.

Not too far from the main venue, in a quaint bed and breakfast in the Adelaide Hills, Stacey was on his own transformative journey. The atmosphere was thick with camaraderie. Those last-minute tie adjustments, the reassuring pats on the back, and the unmistakable bond of friendships – every moment was worth capturing.

The Daffy Duck to Kat’s Bugs Bunny, Stacey’s details too were full of endearing surprises. In every corner, there was a touch of their story waiting to be discovered.

Tiny House on the Prairie Wedding Ceremony

Back at the Tiny House on the Prairie, guests began to gather, the sun casting playful shadows as they took their seats. But before the ceremony could begin, there was the pressing matter of who’d recite their vows first. A dramatic game of rock, paper, scissors decided the order, setting the stage for a ceremony like no other.

When Kat and Stacey stepped forward, eyes locked, their rhyming vows had everyone hanging on to every word. It was poetry, it was love, and it was uniquely them.

Post-ceremony, the golden hour beckoned, transforming the Adelaide Hills into a photographer’s paradise. And oh, those glamour shots by the lake! With towering gum trees framing the scene and the sun casting its ethereal glow, every click was magic.

A short walk into the nearby paddock opened up more photo opportunities. But the highlight? Definitely the impromptu paddleboat adventure. There they were, Kat and Stacey, attempting to steer, paddle, and not topple over. Candid moments like these, filled with genuine laughter and playful struggles, are the ones that make memories.

Tiny House on the Prairie Wedding Reception

As day turned to dusk, guests found respite under elegant marquees and umbrellas, the grassy expanse of the Tiny House on the Prairie transformed into a wonderland. And oh, the fun corner with arcade machines! Who could resist a round on the Daytona machine, especially in wedding finery?

But amidst all the games and chit-chats, one thing stood out – the wedding cake. A delightful concoction of fandoms: Harry Potter, Star Wars, and of course, our iconic duo of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Each layer told a story, each detail a testament to Kat and Stacey’s shared adventures.

The night was all about relaxation, with heartfelt speeches that tugged at heartstrings and simple, beautiful moments of friends and family bonding. The vibe was laid-back, the mood joyous. Everyone was there with a single purpose – to celebrate two incredible people and their beautiful journey together in the heart of Adelaide Hills.

Glenelg’s Partridge House Wedding – Emma & Steven

Glenelg’s Partridge House Wedding! Just reading those words sends my heart fluttering with excitement. Imagine the perfect backdrop of a historic house with sprawling public gardens as its crown jewel. This is exactly where Emma and Steven chose to exchange their vows. Nestled in the heart of Glenelg, Adelaide, it’s a dreamy venue that offers the perfect blend of history and nature’s beauty.

The star attraction of their ceremony was, without a doubt, that magnificent large tree. As an Adelaide wedding photographer, I’ve seen many stunning venues, but Emma’s touch of hanging lanterns from that tree was a vision to behold! Twinkling gently as they exchanged their vows, the lanterns added a touch of magic to the whole setting. It was like a scene straight out of a fairy tale!

Preparation

The anticipation, the giddy giggles, the touch-up of lipstick – this is where the real magic begins. Emma prepared herself in one of the stately rooms of the Partridge House, and let me tell you, she looked like an ethereal princess. Every time I snapped a picture, I could feel the air charged with excitement. While she was getting ready, she was also keenly ensuring that every detail, especially the white floral arrangements, was picture-perfect.

The preparations weren’t just about the bride. The entire house was draped in the theme of love. White florals made their statement not just with their beauty but with their fragrance. Capturing these behind-the-scenes moments is pure gold!

Glenelg’s Partridge House Wedding Ceremony

Every ceremony is unique, but Emma and Steven’s wedding was the epitome of love and simplicity. The giggles, the glances, and oh, their adorable little flower girl! Their daughter took center stage, scattering petals with the innocence only a child possesses. The love radiating from the couple was palpable, and as they exchanged their vows under the lantern-lit tree, I could feel the weight of their commitment.

The culmination of their love story was celebrated with their closest family and friends. After the “I do’s”, the couple chose to mingle with their guests, making memories and sharing laughs on the lush, grassy expanse of the Partridge House gardens. Every moment was filled with love and laughter, and as their photographer, I was there to capture it all.

Glamour Photos

Sunset approached and painted the sky with hues of pink and orange, setting the stage for our glamour photo session. Using only the house’s grounds and gardens, we found countless picturesque spots. The golden hour had the sun casting a soft glow, making Emma and Steven look even more radiant.

Every nook and cranny of the Glenelg’s Partridge House gardens provided a perfect backdrop. The ancient trees, beautifully manicured hedges, and vintage charm of the house added layers to the photos that are hard to put into words. And just when I thought I’d seen it all, we’d stumble upon yet another spot that would leave us in awe.

Glenelg’s Partridge House Wedding Reception

Held inside the Partridge House, Emma and Steven’s reception was a relaxed, fun-filled event. Steven’s welcoming speech was the only formal bit, and it was heartwarming. After that, it was all about the music, dance, and, of course, the photo booth!

Mandalay House Wedding – Jemma & Kingsley

Nestled in the heart of Petwood, the Mandalay House stands as a hidden gem, beautifully situated between the scenic Adelaide Hills and the refreshing start of Riverland near Murray Bridge. Imagine a venue that’s a stone’s throw away from the bustling Princes Highway yet feels like it’s in its own tranquil world.

With its mesmerising rolling valley hills and a garden that’s nothing short of a work of art, you can tell it’s tended with an abundance of love.

Preparation

Kingsley, our charming groom, was in the whirlwind of preparations. His excitement was palpable. Amidst the historical elegance of the Mandalay House, there was Kingsley, surrounded by his closest mates, adjusting his tie, polishing those shoes to a perfect shine, and sharing a few light-hearted moments before he would see his beautiful bride-to-be. Time seemed to fly by, and with a tight schedule, every moment counted.

Jemma, just across the house in a nother room was encapsulated in her own world of bridal bliss. The atmosphere was filled with soft giggles, the hum of makeup brushes, and the subtle rustling of her dreamy wedding gown. Even in the midst of the quick preparations, Jemma was the epitome of grace, with her bridesmaids showering her with love and care, ensuring every detail was just perfect.

First Look

Jemma and Kingsley decided to embrace a heartfelt first look in the enchanting gardens of Mandalay House. As a wedding photographer, this moment always gets me – the anticipation, the raw emotion, and the overwhelming joy. The lush green backdrop of the garden intensified their pure love for each other, creating a moment that’s nothing short of magical. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any more adorable, their furry friend made a special appearance, resulting in an utterly heartwarming portrait of the trio.

We head out around the grounds for a bit of a photoshoot, making use of the front gardens of the house and almost having Kingsley rip Jemmas arm off as they ran up the driveway – make me giggle at how eager Kingsley was to follow instructions to a fault!

Post the heartfelt ceremony, it was time for some joyous, but laid-back celebrations. The outdoor reception had a vibe of its own. The sun slowly giving way to a beautiful twilight, laughter echoing, clinking glasses, and stories being shared. The weather played a perfect partner, making the evening even more enjoyable. Capturing Jemma and Kingsley’s love story amidst the stunning landscapes was a treat. While they wanted to spend most of their time with the guests, I managed to steal them away for a bit during the golden sunset hour.  The vibrant shades of the sky, the silhouette of the Adelaide Hills, and the duo’s undeniable chemistry made for some frame-worthy captures. And as night dawned, the garden’s mesmerising lighting setup gave us some unforgettable shots.

The House on Haines Wedding – Emily & Andrew

Emily and Andrew celebrated their love at The House on Haines, nestled at the base of the Adelaide Hills. Although the day was a bit wet and gloomy, it didn’t dampen the spirits of this lovely couple and their guests!

Emily and Andrew chose to embrace the weather and make it a part of their memorable day. So, grab your favorite drink, get cozy, and let’s dive into all the fantastic moments of this gorgeous Adelaide Hills wedding!

Andrew’s Preparation

The morning was filled with anticipation as Andrew and his groomsmen got ready at the couple’s home. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and even the two fur babies of the house were caught up in the enthusiasm. After all, it’s not every day that their parents get married!

While there were many memorable moments, one light-hearted one was when a groomsman brought out a dozen different watches, unsure of which one to wear. It was a funny moment amidst the hustle and bustle of the morning. After getting ready, the groomsmen went for a short walk in a nearby park for some group shots before heading to the girls.

Emily’s Preparation at the Yatahlia Manor

Emily prepared for her big day at the stunning Yatahlia Manor, a beautiful house set amongst breathtaking grounds, complete with separate wings for all kinds of different photo shoots. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to use the grounds much, but we certainly made the most of the modern manor in all its glory. This included a tear-jerking first look with Emily’s father under the eaves of the main courtyard.

The Yatahlia Manor was the perfect backdrop for Emily’s preparation. The excitement in the air was palpable as Emily got ready with the help of her bridesmaids and family. Every detail, from her dress to her shoes, was carefully chosen and looked absolutely perfect.

Emily’s bridal bouquet was adorned with special charms that we had the honor of making for her. They were made of silver and surrounded by sparkling rhinestones, adding a touch of elegance and personalization to her bouquet. It was one of the first sets of bouquet charms we had made, and seeing them in Emily’s bouquet was incredibly rewarding. It’s always special to contribute to a bride’s big day in such a meaningful way.

The House on Haines Wedding Ceremony

The House on Haines wedding ceremony took place under a sea of umbrellas as the weather threatened to rain heavily throughout the event. Fortunately, it didn’t too much! Emily and Andrew decided to hold their ceremony outside on the grassy area near the house, regardless of the weather. Their celebrants made the ceremony a lot of fun by drawing their guests into the festivities in an interactive way.

Their dogs made a special appearance as ring bearers, eagerly making their way towards their parents. It was a sweet and touching moment that added a personal touch to the ceremony.

Anstey Hill Glamour Photos

For the glamour photos, we headed to Anstey Hill, just across the road. The space allowed for beautiful scenes shot through the foliage of gum trees, and the occasional spark of the sun making an appearance through the clouds. The bridal party was quite cold, so it wasn’t uncommon for the groomsmen to share their suit jackets with the bridesmaids.

The rain started to get quite heavy just as we left for the reception, but we managed to capture some beautiful moments amidst the natural beauty of Anstey Hill.

The House on Haines Wedding Reception

Emily and Andrew’s reception at The House on Haines was a blast! Guests were super keen on having a good time, and there were short but sweet speeches and a game of ‘shoe game‘ that made everyone laugh. Emily and Andrew had a large lit sign out on the decking as a backdrop to the night.

The only distraction was the Matildas game against France in the Women’s World Cup. The penalty shootout was tense, but it added an extra layer of excitement to the reception! At least one table was super excited bout it!

Darwin’s St Marys Cathedral Wedding – Michaela & Mark

Michaela and Mark celebrated their love in the heart of Darwin, and let me tell you, as a Darwin Photographer, it was nothing short of magical. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. The chosen venue? The iconic Darwin’s St Marys Cathedral. And if you’ve ever been there, you’d know just how breathtaking it is.

The couple’s decision to get ready in the same hotel was a stroke of genius. Not only did it make sunset photography a breeze, but it also added a touch of convenience for everyone involved. Darting between rooms, capturing those candid moments, and soaking in the emotions of the day certainly makde things easier. The heartfelt letters they exchanged in the morning, paired with the thoughtful presents, were enough to bring a tear to anyone’s eye. Such a charming start to their new journey together!

Preparation

Mark, our dashing groom, was the epitome of excitement. Surrounded by his closest friends and family, the atmosphere in his room was electric. Every moment, from tying his shoelaces to adjusting his cufflinks, was filled with laughter and joy. The camaraderie was palpable, and it was evident that this was not just a union of two souls but two families coming together.

As the clock ticked closer to the ceremony, Mark took a moment to sit down and read a letter that Michaela had written to him. It’s these little moments, these intimate exchanges, that make weddings so special.

From makeup touch-ups to last-minute dress adjustments, everything was a buzz. But amidst the chaos, there was a moment of serenity when Michaela read Mark’s letter. Her eyes glistened with tears of happiness, and it was clear that this day meant the world to her.

Finding the perfect spot to showcase her stunning dress was a bit of a challenge, given the room’s hustle and bustle. But with a little creativity and some rearranging, the perfect backdrop was created. And oh, how that dress sparkled!

Darwin’s St Marys Cathedral Wedding Ceremony

The St Mary’s Cathedral in Darwin is always a sight to behold. With its majestic domed arch roof and intricate architecture, it’s a dream wedding venue. As Michaela walked down the aisle, the choir’s melodies filled the air, creating a magical ambiance. The presence of numerous priests and even the Bishop of Darwin added a touch of grandeur to the ceremony.

The full Catholic mass was a beautiful testament to their faith and love. And while it did run a tad longer than expected (as Catholic masses often do), the joy and love in the room made every moment worth it.

East Point Glamour Photos

With the sun setting and the golden hour upon us, it was time for some glamour shots at East Point. The iconic ‘pride rock’ formation over the sea was the chosen spot, and it did not disappoint. Though there was a slight wait due to another wedding party, the resulting photos were nothing short of spectacular. The backdrop of the sea, combined with the setting sun, made for some truly memorable shots.

Malak Harmony Hall Wedding Reception

The reception at Malak Harmony Hall was a heartwarming DIY affair. The community vibe was strong, with guests pitching in to serve drinks and food. The evening was filled with speeches, games, performances, and more, all orchestrated by the two fabulous MCs.

But the highlight? The dance routines! Both Michaela and Mark, along with their bridal parties, put on a show that had everyone on their feet. The energy, the moves, the music – it was a night to remember. And while there was a tiny hiccup with Michaela’s bouquet being left behind at East Point (SORRY AGAIN! 🙁 ), it was but a small blip in an otherwise perfect day.

The Darwin’s St Marys Cathedral wedding of Michalea and Mark was nothing short of a delight to be a part of, and I’d like to thank these two lovely people for having me!
