Jasmine and Rikki’s wedding was initially planned to take place in front of the charming little chapel on site. However, with the rain coming down, a last-minute change saw the ceremony moved to the undercover area in front of the smaller function room on the lower level. This adjustment didn’t dampen the spirits one bit; instead, it brought everyone closer together, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere that was simply perfect for such a special occasion.

Preparation

The day began with a buzz of excitement as both Jasmine and Rikki prepared on site. Following the ceremony, we took a leisurely walk around the gardens of The Manor for the glamour photos. The autumnal colors were at their peak, creating a breathtaking setting for the couple’s portraits. The sun, slowly setting, cast a golden glow over the scene, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.

The Manor’s grounds offered endless opportunities for stunning photos. Lenny and Aaron looked radiant against the vibrant foliage, their love shining through in every shot. The reception took place in the lower reception hall of The Manor, a space that perfectly complemented the day’s elegant theme. Natasha and Steve’s night time Lot 100 wedding was a magical affair, filled with beautiful moments and unique challenges. The night-time setting added an extra layer of charm and intimacy, making their wedding day truly unforgettable. From a pre-ceremony concert to a glamour photoshoot under the stars, every detail was meticulously planned and executed to (almost) perfection.

Before the ceremony even began, the air was filled with the soothing sounds of a harpist, setting a serene and enchanting tone for the evening. Natasha’s friends, who are talented performers, graced the gathering with their music, creating an atmosphere of calm and elegance. The harp’s delicate notes seemed to dance in the air, weaving a tapestry of sound that wrapped everyone in a warm embrace. It was a moment of pure magic that perfectly set the stage for the rest of the evening.

Night Time Lot 100 Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony itself was scheduled to conclude after dark, adding a layer of mystery and romance to the event. Natasha and Steve chose Lot 100 for its rustic charm and natural beauty, and it did not disappoint. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the venue transformed into a wonderland of twinkling lights and shadows. However, the darkness also posed a unique challenge – the ceremony area became quite dark, making it difficult for the couple and their celebrant to read their vows.

Fortunately, I had anticipated this and came prepared with my lighting equipment. As the celebrant required I was ready to step in and set up lights to ensure everyone could see clearly. This allowed Natasha and Steve to focus on each other and their heartfelt vows, without worrying about the lack of light. The soft glow from the lights added a romantic ambiance to the ceremony, enhancing the beauty of the moment.

Night Time Glamour Photos

Once the ceremony was over, it was time for the glamour photoshoot. Natasha and Steve were prepared for a nighttime shoot, but perhaps not for how dark it would actually be. The grounds of Lot 100 offered the perfect backdrop for some truly unique and moody shots. Armed with several lights, we set out to explore the venue, making the most of the darkness to create some stunning images.

The absence of a full moon added to the challenge, as we were hoping to be able to recreate an image I took last time I was at Lot 100, but also provided an opportunity to get creative. We ventured into the paddocks, carefully avoiding cow pats and occasionally getting startled by sleeping cows. The experience was both adventurous and fun, resulting in some incredible photos that captured the essence of the night. The darkness allowed us to play with light and shadow, creating dramatic and artistic images that Natasha and Steve will cherish forever.

Although we arrived a bit late and missed the Gaelic singing by one of Natasha’s friends, the atmosphere was still filled with excitement and happiness. The venue, known for its exceptional food and warm hospitality, did not disappoint. As soon as the food started coming out, the smiles and laughter filled the room, creating a festive and celebratory mood.

The reception was a perfect blend of fun and elegance. The beautifully decorated space, the delicious food, and the lively music all came together to create an unforgettable evening. Natasha and Steve’s friends and family celebrated with them, dancing the night away and creating memories that will last a lifetime. When Kara and Patrick chose me to be their wedding photographer, I knew we were in for a special treat. The venue they picked, Mt Crawford’s Old School House, is a hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates the rustic charm of the Adelaide Hills. This historic location offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for a romantic and memorable wedding. The Old School House, with its quaint architecture and serene surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for Kara and Patrick’s big day.

The ceremony began with a unique twist. Instead of the traditional first look, Kara and Patrick opted for a “first touch” around the corner of the Old School House. This intimate moment was filled with anticipation and excitement, as they held hands and exchanged a few whispered words without actually seeing each other. It was a beautiful way to start their journey, and I could feel the love and connection between them even from behind the lens.

As the ceremony began, the priest gave a gentle warning about the crunchy leaves underfoot, which added a charmingly natural soundtrack to the proceedings. Kara and Patrick exchanged their vows beneath a homemade arbour crafted from sticks, a testament to their love and creativity. The personal vows they shared were heartfelt and moving, leaving not a dry eye among the guests. The combination of the natural setting and the couple’s genuine emotions made for a truly unforgettable ceremony.

Glamour Photos

Following the ceremony, we took advantage of the stunning surroundings for some glamour photos. The Old School House area is a photographer’s dream, with its mix of rustic buildings, lush greenery, and the ever-changing light filtering through the trees. Kara and Patrick were naturals in front of the camera, their joy and love shining through in every shot. We wandered through the grove, capturing the beautiful interplay of light and shadows created by the autumn leaves.

One of my favorite parts of the day was shooting among the pine trees in Mt Crawford. These tall, straight trees create a dramatic and almost surreal atmosphere, making for some truly striking photos. The bridal party was in high spirits, and their laughter and smiles added a wonderful energy to the session. We made sure to keep things light-hearted and fun, ensuring everyone felt relaxed and enjoyed the moment.

Gumeracha reception

After the glamour photos, we headed to Gumeracha for the reception. The private property chosen for this part of the celebration was nothing short of spectacular. The centerpiece was a delightful rustic old barn with a massive wooden door that made for some fantastic photo opportunities. The barn’s weathered textures and warm tones provided a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for an intimate and joyous celebration.

The reception itself was a feast for the senses. Kara and Patrick decided to go with a gourmet toastie bar, a unique and delicious choice that was a hit with all the guests. The variety of flavors and the comforting warmth of the toasties added a fun and casual element to the evening. As the sun set, the barn was lit up with fairy lights, creating a magical ambiance that set the stage for heartfelt speeches, laughter, and dancing.

As a wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing the magic of a couple’s special day.
