Welcome to the celebration of love and remarkable moments captured through the lens at SvenStudios, as we proudly announce the results of our 2024 Wedding Photo of the Year contest! Now in its ninth year, this contest has not only become a cherished tradition here at SvenStudios but also a platform that showcases the depth of emotions and timeless stories experienced on wedding days.

Each year since 2015, we have invited couples who have shared their journey with us to submit their favorite photo fromt heir day, allowing the world to see the beauty and uniqueness of their love stories. This contest, a testament to a decade of unforgettable memories, continues to inspire and touch hearts, reflecting the joy and sincerity found in the simplest moments.

While the chosen images might not be our personal favourites – it’s always interesting to see how others view their photos and we become better photographers as a result!

Announcing the winner of the 2024 Wedding Photo of the year!

Charlotte and Jake won this year’s contest with their stunning photo at Lake Breeze Winery. Their picture, capturing a beautiful moment from their wedding, narrowly outperformed Jess and Tim’s equally captivating entry in the last days of voting. This victory highlights a moment filled with joy and love, beautifully set against the winery’s backdrop.

The 2024 Photo of the Year Contest is now Open for Voting!

It’s that sparkling time of the year again! For all the amazing couples whose weddings I had the honor of capturing in 2023, the spotlight is on you! I’ve asked each couple who I was lucky enough to cover their wedding  during 2023 to dive into the treasure trove of memories from their big day and pick out their absolute favourite photo.

Yes, it’s time for the ‘SvenStudios 2024 Wedding Photo of the Year’ contest! The winning couple allows the couple who wins the most votes to splurge with a $500 prints voucher. Think of all the gorgeous prints and products they can fill their home with!

If you are a couple who has not submitted their favourite photo for the contest yeat, rest assured that I can add your photo right up until the end of the contest – which will be the end of March 31st.

To turn up the excitement, there’s an AU$100 cash prize waiting to be claimed just by voting! Fair play is the name of the game, so our trusty anti-duplicate system ensures every vote is as unique as these love stories. And guess what? This year, sharing really is caring. What I absolutely adore about this contest is it gives me a glimpse of what my couples love about my photos and it allows me to become a better photographer as a result. It’s their picks that are on display, even if they’re worlds apart from my personal favourites.

Announcing the SvenStudios 2023 Wedding Photo of the year winner!

I’m pleased to say that after another year of shooting weddings in Adelaide and around Australia, I can announce the people’s choice 2023 wedding photo of the year as shot by SvenStudios!

The photographs that were in conntention this year here were captured by SvenStudios during various weddings in 2022. The  featured couples selected these specific images as their top favorites from all of the images we provided and the photograph that received the highest votes is entitled to a product voucher worth $500 towards printing some of their photos!

This competition is a way for us to express our gratitude to all the bridal couples we have worked with during the year, while also gathering feedback on how others perceive our photography beyond our own perspective.

Please note that these photographs may or may not align with our personal favorites from the weddings – which is kind of the point of running this contest – it’s all about learning what people like! While feedback and reviews are fantastic – there nothing like having a favourite image from each wedding given to us to understand what people see in our work!

Announcing the 2023 Wedding Photo of the year contest!

Every year, I hold a contest for all the married couples whose weddings I covered in the previous year (2022). I request each couple to choose their favorite photo from the wedding photos I took on their big day and nominate it for the ‘SvenStudios 2022 wedding photo of the year’ title. The winning couple receives a $500 voucher to use in their personal cloud-based store to produce and print whatever products they want.

I maintain a hands-off approach with the selection of the images, leaving it entirely to the couples to choose their favorite pictures, even if they differ from my personal selection. I have created a slideshow video of my favorite images from each wedding I covered in 2022, in case anyone is interested.

To encourage more participation, I offer a cash prize of AU$100 to a randomly chosen voter after the voting period ends. To maintain fairness, I have an anti-duplicate detection system in place to deter any cheating or duplicate voting. This year, I am also adding an extra entry to the draw for anyone who shares their vote on social media.

Please note that sharing on social media is not mandatory to submit a vote, as not everyone has social media accounts. However, in past contests, the winning image has been the most voted and shared on social media. Therefore, every individual vote and share counts and goes into the draw to win the cash prize.

So, vote for your favorite photo and share it on Facebook to show your support. Remember, each vote and share is a chance to win the AU$100 cash prize.
