Night Time Lot 100 Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony itself was scheduled to conclude after dark, adding a layer of mystery and romance to the event. Natasha and Steve chose Lot 100 for its rustic charm and natural beauty, and it did not disappoint. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the venue transformed into a wonderland of twinkling lights and shadows. However, the darkness also posed a unique challenge – the ceremony area became quite dark, making it difficult for the couple and their celebrant to read their vows.

Fortunately, I had anticipated this and came prepared with my lighting equipment. As the celebrant required I was ready to step in and set up lights to ensure everyone could see clearly. This allowed Natasha and Steve to focus on each other and their heartfelt vows, without worrying about the lack of light. The soft glow from the lights added a romantic ambiance to the ceremony, enhancing the beauty of the moment.

Night Time Glamour Photos

Once the ceremony was over, it was time for the glamour photoshoot. Natasha and Steve were prepared for a nighttime shoot, but perhaps not for how dark it would actually be. The grounds of Lot 100 offered the perfect backdrop for some truly unique and moody shots. Armed with several lights, we set out to explore the venue, making the most of the darkness to create some stunning images.

The absence of a full moon added to the challenge, as we were hoping to be able to recreate an image I took last time I was at Lot 100, but also provided an opportunity to get creative. We ventured into the paddocks, carefully avoiding cow pats and occasionally getting startled by sleeping cows. The experience was both adventurous and fun, resulting in some incredible photos that captured the essence of the night. The darkness allowed us to play with light and shadow, creating dramatic and artistic images that Natasha and Steve will cherish forever.

Although we arrived a bit late and missed the Gaelic singing by one of Natasha’s friends, the atmosphere was still filled with excitement and happiness. The venue, known for its exceptional food and warm hospitality, did not disappoint. As soon as the food started coming out, the smiles and laughter filled the room, creating a festive and celebratory mood.

Glamour Photos

Following the ceremony, we took advantage of the stunning surroundings for some glamour photos. The Old School House area is a photographer’s dream, with its mix of rustic buildings, lush greenery, and the ever-changing light filtering through the trees. Kara and Patrick were naturals in front of the camera, their joy and love shining through in every shot. We wandered through the grove, capturing the beautiful interplay of light and shadows created by the autumn leaves.

One of my favorite parts of the day was shooting among the pine trees in Mt Crawford. These tall, straight trees create a dramatic and almost surreal atmosphere, making for some truly striking photos. The bridal party was in high spirits, and their laughter and smiles added a wonderful energy to the session. We made sure to keep things light-hearted and fun, ensuring everyone felt relaxed and enjoyed the moment.

Gumeracha reception

After the glamour photos, we headed to Gumeracha for the reception. The private property chosen for this part of the celebration was nothing short of spectacular. The centerpiece was a delightful rustic old barn with a massive wooden door that made for some fantastic photo opportunities. The barn’s weathered textures and warm tones provided a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for an intimate and joyous celebration.

The reception itself was a feast for the senses. Kara and Patrick decided to go with a gourmet toastie bar, a unique and delicious choice that was a hit with all the guests. The variety of flavors and the comforting warmth of the toasties added a fun and casual element to the evening. As the sun set, the barn was lit up with fairy lights, creating a magical ambiance that set the stage for heartfelt speeches, laughter, and dancing.

Tracey and Kaeden’s wedding at The Manor Basket Range was nothing short of enchanting. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Adelaide Hills, their special day was filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of magic. It was a delightful midweek day in April, where the grounds were painted with the rich, warm hues of autumn. The Manor’s historic charm and stunning gardens provided the perfect setting for this unforgettable celebration of love.

We arrived a bit earlier than planned, even though we were initially asked to start at the ceremony. The opportunity to capture some pre-ceremony moments with Tracey and her bridal party was too good to pass up. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as Tracey and her closest friends prepared for the big day. The bridal suite was a flurry of activity, with hair, makeup, and laughter filling the air. Tracey’s radiant smile and the twinkle in her eyes spoke volumes about her happiness.

Pre-Ceremony

The pre-ceremony moments are always a favorite to capture. There’s something truly special about the bride and her bridesmaids sharing these last few hours before the wedding. Tracey’s bridal party was a lively bunch, their joy infectious as they helped her into her exquisite gown. The dress, a long lacey affair, glistened in the soft light of the room. It was a beautiful sight to behold, with delicate details that made it a masterpiece.

Tracey’s mother and bridesmaids couldn’t hold back their tears as they saw her fully dressed for the first time. These intimate, emotional moments are what make wedding photography so rewarding! We managed to top things off with involving Dad for a bit for a lovely first look!

The Manor Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of The Manor’s charming little chapel, a picturesque spot that seems straight out of a fairy tale. As the guests settled into their seats, an air of anticipation filled the venue. Kaeden stood at the altar, his excitement palpable. The moment he saw Tracey approach, his joy was unmistakable. He was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, his grin wide enough to rival any Dr. Seuss character.

Tracey walked down the aisle with grace and poise, her dress shimmering in the sunlight. The couple’s heartfelt vows were a highlight, filled with emotion and sincerity. Readings from their parents added a personal touch to the ceremony, making it all the more meaningful. After the ceremony, we ventured into The Manor’s lush gardens for the glamour photos. The autumn light filtering through the leaves created a magical atmosphere, perfect for capturing the newlyweds in all their glory. The gardens provided a stunning backdrop, with vibrant colors and charming pathways that added a touch of romance to each shot. Tracey and Kaeden were naturals in front of the camera, their love and happiness shining through in every frame.

We also took advantage of The Manor’s iconic castle keep, using it as a backdrop both during the daylight and at night. The dramatic architecture and the play of light and shadow created some truly breathtaking images. As the sun set and the stars came out, the castle keep took on a whole new level of enchantment. The night shots, with the couple silhouetted against the illuminated keep, were nothing short of spectacular. These photos will undoubtedly be cherished for years to come.

The reception took place in the grand hall upstairs, a space that exuded elegance and charm. Tracey and Kaeden’s entrance was met with cheers and applause from their guests, who were eager to celebrate this joyous occasion.

One of the highlights of the evening was the couple’s first dance. Tracey and Kaeden had choreographed a dance to a number of popular songs, and their performance was a hit.
