Celebrating love amidst the enchanting backdrop of The Manor in Basket Range is always a magical experience. Jasmine and Rikki’s wedding day might have started with a bit of rain, but that only added to the charm and intimacy of their beautiful celebration. Nestled in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, The Manor provided the perfect setting for a memorable wedding day, even with the weather’s little surprises.

Jasmine and Rikki’s wedding was initially planned to take place in front of the charming little chapel on site. However, with the rain coming down, a last-minute change saw the ceremony moved to the undercover area in front of the smaller function room on the lower level. This adjustment didn’t dampen the spirits one bit; instead, it brought everyone closer together, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere that was simply perfect for such a special occasion.

Preparation

The day began with a buzz of excitement as both Jasmine and Rikki prepared on site. Rikki and his groomsmen occupied the small room at the end of the complex, exuding a laid-back vibe as they got ready. Their main focus was getting the photos done swiftly so they could relax and enjoy the day. Dressed to impress, they laughed and shared stories, setting a light-hearted tone for the day ahead.

Meanwhile, Jasmine and her entourage were upstairs above the main doors, filling the air with laughter and joy. The bride and her bridesmaids indulged in some fun and silliness, making the preparation time a delightful prelude to the ceremony. Jasmine, radiant in her wedding gown, was the picture of happiness, despite a tinge of disappointment about not having the ceremony in front of the chapel. Nonetheless, her positive spirit shone through, and she embraced the day with grace and excitement.

The Manor Wedding in Basket Range

The Manor in Basket Range is nothing short of a fairytale venue. Even with the rain, its beauty was undeniable, adding a mystical touch to Jasmine and Rikki’s wedding.

Jasmine’s first look with her father in the castle’s lobby was a heartwarming moment, filled with emotion and love. This intimate moment between father and daughter set the stage for the beautiful ceremony that followed. As Jasmine walked down the aisle, the love and admiration in Rikki’s eyes were palpable. Their vows were heartfelt and touching, a testament to their deep connection and commitment to one another.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests made their way to the front of the main castle keep for the petal toss and group photos. The rain held off just long enough for these special moments, allowing everyone to capture some beautiful memories before retreating back into the warmth of the ceremony area.

Glamour Photos

With the rain looming, we set off on a quick tour of The Manor’s stunning grounds for the glamour photos. Jasmine and Rikki, along with their bridal party, navigated the gardens with ease, making the most of the beautiful surroundings. The gardens behind the small chapel provided a lovely backdrop for some truly enchanting shots.

As the day turned to night, we ventured back out for some dramatic photos in front of the castle keep. The use of smoke added a mystical element to the images, capturing the essence of the venue and the couple’s unique love story. Just as we wrapped up, the heavens opened, but by then, we had already captured the magic of the day.

The reception was a warm and intimate affair, perfectly suited to the cozy, rainy day. Held in the function room where the ceremony took place, the atmosphere was filled with love, laughter, and the clinking of glasses. The speeches were heartfelt, reflecting the close bonds between family and friends who had gathered to celebrate Jasmine and Rikki’s love.

Everyone was eager to ensure that this lovely couple had a glorious night, and the evening flowed with ease and joy. The food was delectable, and the company even better, creating an ambiance of warmth and happiness. Capturing Kaitlyn and Dan’s Beach Road Wines wedding was an extraordinary experience, especially as it unfolded on a unique, rain-drenched day in December. This was one of those rare Adelaide moments, where the rain simply decided to take center stage all day long. Nestled in the heart of McLaren Vale, Beach Road Wines offered a romantic and cozy backdrop for this special occasion. Despite the unexpected weather, the charm and warmth of the venue shone through, setting the stage for a memorable celebration.

The day was filled with love, laughter, and a few raindrops, but nothing could dampen the spirits of this delightful couple. As a wedding photographer often in McLaren Vale, I’ve seen my share of weather challenges, but Kaitlyn and Dan’s wedding was a testament to the magic that can happen when you embrace the unexpected. Their day was a beautiful reminder that even a rainy day can create the perfect setting for a wedding filled with joy and romance.

Preparation

The day kicked off with Dan and his groomsmen getting ready at Oxenberry Farm. Navigating through the rain, I found myself at the wrong cottage initially, but a quick call from Dan set me on the right path. The guys were a breeze to work with, quickly suiting up in their dapper attire, their camaraderie and excitement palpable. They shared jokes and laughter, creating a relaxed and jovial atmosphere that was a pleasure to photograph.

Despite the weather playing tricks on us, the preparation phase for Dan and his groomsmen was smooth and full of light-hearted moments. Their ease in front of the camera allowed me to capture some candid and natural shots, reflecting the genuine bond they shared. It was a fantastic start to what promised to be an unforgettable day at Beach Road Wines.

Kaitlyn and her bridal party were getting ready at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Carrickalinga, overlooking the bay. The property was stunning, a perfect setting for bridal preparations, even with the rain limiting our use of the outdoor spaces. Kaitlyn’s excitement was infectious, and her bridal party mirrored her enthusiasm, filling the room with laughter and joy.

The energy in Kaitlyn’s preparation room was electric. Despite the weather, spirits were high, and we managed to capture some fantastic shots. The camaraderie and love in the room were tangible, making every photo vibrant and full of life. The overcast weather provided a soft, natural light through the windows that beautifully accentuated the details of Kaitlyn’s dress and the joyful expressions of her bridal party. Just diddn’t want to step outside too much!

Originally planned to be an outdoor affair under the picturesque tree on the deck, their Beach Road Wines wedding ceremony had to be shifted indoors due to the relentless rain. However, the indoor setting turned out to be just as enchanting, with the intimate space beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for Kaitlyn and Dan’s vows.

As Kaitlyn and her bridal party arrived in their charming combi, the excitement was palpable. The ceremony was heartfelt and beautifully simple, with each moment filled with emotion and love. Glamour Photos

Post-ceremony, we took the opportunity to capture some family photos in the same cozy indoor space. Then, braving the rain, Kaitlyn, Dan, and their party ventured out for a brief but magical photo session. Armed with umbrellas and the vintage charm of the combis, we created some unique and stunning shots, embracing the rain as a natural accessory.

The weather didn’t stop us from capturing the essence of their love. The rain added a magical quality to the photos, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere. These moments were brief, but the spontaneity and joy captured in these photos were truly special, showcasing the couple’s adventurous spirit and love for each other.

Their Beach Road Wines wedding reception was a vibrant celebration filled with smiles, laughter, and heartwarming moments. The guests were in high spirits, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Ten22 Wedding – Julia & Daniel

It was a day filled with love, laughter, and some unexpected twists and turns. My wife and I had the privilege of capturing the beautiful union of Julia and Daniel on their wedding day.

They had planned to exchange vows in the picturesque Adelaide Botanic Gardens, but Mother Nature had different plans. With bad weather rolling in, they had to make a last-minute decision to move their ceremony to Ten22, which was also the venue for their reception, which was certainly convenient!

Preparation

Daniel was getting ready at a house in Reynella East, which was conveniently close to Malbeck Drive Park. We took advantage of the nearby park for a few photos before heading to the ceremony. It was a great spot with plenty of greenery and a relaxed vibe.

Julia was getting ready with her family closer to the city. The entire time spent here was quite relaxed and easy going, with the added bonus of being teared to a delightful lunch put on by Julia’s mother. There was a sense of calm and joy that filled the air. It was the perfect start to a perfect day.

One fun tidbit of trivia is that right at the beginning of my photography career I had met Julia working with Santa Claus at the Myer ‘Santaland’ right when it was a new thing at the Myer center in the city – it was lovely to see her again!

Ten22 Wedding Ceremony

The Ten22 wedding ceremony was an intimate and heartfelt affair. As Julia arrived through the curtains, you could feel the excitement and anticipation in the air. The space may have been a bit cozier than expected, but it added to the warmth and intimacy of the occasion.

As we were also producing a highlight video, it was a bit of a challenge to navigate the smaller space with our video cameras, but we managed to capture every moment beautifully. The vows that Julia and Daniel exchanged were truly heartwarming, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was a beautiful moment that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

Glamour Photos

As a professional Adelaide wedding photographer, you have to be prepared for this weird weather we’ve been having recently, and let me tell you, this day was definitely one that threw quite a few hurdles! Changing venues, the rain, smashing my camera – all in good fun!

Despite the rain, we managed to capture some stunning shots at the old rustic Belair Train Station and the nearby Belair National Park. The gum trees and the occasional appearance of the sun made for the perfect backdrop for some truly magical moments. And as soon as we left the park, the heavens opened up, and the rain didn’t stop for the rest of the night. But you know what they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck! And Julia and Daniel certainly had all the luck in the world on their special day.

Ten22 Wedding Reception

The shed interior of Ten22 is rustic, yet elegant. It had a cozy and warm feeling to it, the atmosphere was just perfect for a small, intimate gathering of loved ones, and as for the food, let’s just say that their ‘sit down’ finger food style reception was an absolute hit! The guests were raving about the delicious bites, and everyone had a wonderful time mingling and chatting with one another.

During the reception, we managed to sneak in a few photos in the alleyway behind Ten22. Yes, it was raining, but that didn’t stop us! In fact, it added a unique and moody element to the shots. We even used some lights and smoke to create some dramatic effects, and the results were absolutely stunning. It just goes to show that sometimes, the best photos come from unexpected situations.
