Originally planned for the lawns beside the cellar door, the ceremony pivoted to a covered space due to the unpredictable weather. It proved to be the perfect call. As guests gathered under shelter, the rain intensified, creating a cosy, intimate atmosphere that brought everyone closer together.

We even incorporated an umbrella indoors for a few playful shots, leaning into the theme of the weather rather than fighting against it.

With time on our side before meeting the groomsquad, we headed out into the heart of the city for some portraits along North Terrace. This stretch of Adelaide is iconic for a reason. Historic buildings line the street, each one offering texture, symmetry, and architectural interest that elevates every frame.

Matt and Jacob looked incredible against these backdrops. The contrast between their sharp suits and the sandstone buildings created such a striking visual. We wandered from one spot to the next, making the most of the light bouncing between structures and the quiet pockets tucked away from the main foot traffic. From there, we made our way to Adelaide Railway Station, where the rest of the groomsquad was waiting. The energy shifted instantly. What started as a calm, intimate shoot became a lively gathering full of banter and excitement. The station itself offered a completely different vibe, with its grand interior and vintage charm adding another layer to the story.

Boatshed Wedding Ceremony

Arriving at Hallett Cove Boatshed felt like stepping into a postcard. The deck overlooking the Hallett Cove Conservation Park set the stage for a ceremony that was equal parts emotional and breathtaking. The ocean shimmered behind them, and the rugged coastline framed every moment.

It was warm. Really warm. The kind of heat that makes the air feel still and heavy. Despite that, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Guests fanned themselves, sunglasses stayed firmly on, and everyone leaned into the experience. A livestream had been set up for those who couldn’t attend, though the direct sunlight had other plans and pushed the equipment beyond its limits. Even that couldn’t dampen the mood.

One of the most meaningful touches was the presence of their Reverend, who had travelled all the way from Sydney to officiate. It added such a personal layer to the ceremony. Their vows were heartfelt and genuine, spoken with the kind of emotion that quiets a crowd. Every word carried weight.

The ceremony exit was unforgettable. Instead of traditional confetti, guests launched self-cleaning streamers that stayed attached to their hands. It created this incredible burst of colour and movement without leaving anything behind. Being so close to the conservation park, that thoughtful detail mattered. It was fun, visually stunning, and completely in tune with the environment.
