It was wonderful to be the wedding photographer for the delightful Chesser St Registration Office Wedding of Khate and Angelo. This intimate affair was nothing short of magical, taking place in the newly relocated Adelaide Birth Death and Marriages office on Chesser Street, along side the old address of Grenfell st. The new modern chapel, with its spacious layout and elegant ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony.

Nicole and Daryl’s wedding was an absolute dream come true, held in the enchanting Northern Palm Garden, the northernmost of the nine stunning wedding venues within the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Lorraine and Wayne’s wedding was a day filled with love, joy, and beautiful moments. They chose to tie the knot at the charming Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Prospect, a picturesque suburb just north of the bustling Adelaide CBD. The church’s interior, with its elegant stained glass windows and stunning altar, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.
As an Adelaide wedding photographer with 17 years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many unique moments, but Lorraine and Wayne surprised me with something I’m surprised I hadn’t witnessed until now! The couple decided to release doves in front of the church. It was a symbolic gesture that added a touch of magic and beauty to their union.
Witnessing this enchanting display was a first for me, and it left a lasting impression on everyone present.

The Our Lady of the Rosary Church wedding ceremony was a reflection of Lorraine and Wayne’s deep-rooted faith and commitment to each other. They opted to host a full Catholic mass, allowing their loved ones to partake in their spiritual journey as they exchanged vows. The atmosphere was reverent yet filled with an unmistakable sense of joy and anticipation.
As the church doors swung open, Lorraine glided down the aisle, radiating elegance and happiness. Wayne’s eyes glistened with tears of joy as he caught his first glimpse of his beautiful bride. The intimate ceremony was punctuated by heartfelt readings, beautiful harp-accompanied hymns, and a meaningful sermon that reminded us all of the power of love and unity.

Regency Tavern Wedding reception
The festivities continued as we made our way to the Regency Tavern for Lorraine and Wayne’s wedding reception. The venue’s enclosed open-air section at the back of the establishment set the stage for an evening filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and dancing. The ambiance was electric, and the love in the air was palpable.
Lorraine and Wayne’s entrance was met with cheers and applause from their family and friends, who were eager to celebrate their union. The reception space was elegantly decorated, with twinkling lights and tastefully arranged floral centerpieces that complemented the couple’s chosen theme.
Although my time at the reception was brief, I had the opportunity to capture a moment that will forever hold a special place in Lorraine and Wayne’s hearts. The cutting of the cake was a moment of pure delight, with their laughter echoing through the venue. As everyone gathered for a group photo, their smiles and camaraderie showcased the bonds of love and friendship that had come together to celebrate this extraordinary day.

Helen and John’s Barbershop Gazebo Wedding in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens was wonderful to be a part of! Despite the rain, the couple tied the knot in front of family and friends, with bagpipes filling the air as Helen made her entrance.
As the sounds of the haunting bagpipes echoed through the gardens, it was hard not to feel transported to Scotland. We were thrilled to be asked to cover their special day as both their wedding photographer and videographer, capturing every moment of their memorable celebration.
Barbershop gazebo Wedding Ceremony
The Barbershop Gazebo is one of only two of the nine wedding ceremony locations in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens that is completely undercover, providing much-needed protection from the elements. Given the current unpredictable weather in Adelaide, it was certainly a stroke of luck that Helen and John had chosen this spot for their wedding ceremony.
Not only did it provide a stunning and unique backdrop for their special day, but it also ensured that the rain didn’t put a damper on their celebrations. The Barbershop Gazebo is a truly special and versatile location that is perfect for any couple looking for a unique and intimate wedding ceremony venue in Adelaide.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was their celebrant, who kept everyone laughing with jokes about being compared to the Bagginses from Lord of the Rings. The couple also wrote their own vows in what’s known as “ninja vows,” which had everyone in stitches. Before their first kiss, they held a traditional tying the knot ceremony, which was a beautiful and meaningful addition to their wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a small pop-up bar on the nearby lawns while the couple, along with us, headed off for some glamour shots around the gardens. Even with the rain, the gardens were a stunning backdrop for their wedding photos.

As their guests departed, Helen, John, and I had about an hour to take photos around the gardens. We made use of the Murdoch Avenue, the old buildings, and the beautiful scenery to capture some truly special moments. Helen’s one request was a shot where she was being twirled, and we made sure to deliver on that request!
The Barbershop Gazebo was not the only thing that made Helen and John’s wedding day special. Right next to their wedding venue was a dinosaur show called Dinofest, which added an unexpected and playful touch to their celebration. We were able to take some fun and quirky photos of the couple being photobombed or even “attacked” by the dinosaurs, which was a hilarious addition to their wedding album.
The staff at Dinofest were incredibly friendly and even picked up one of the baby dinosaurs for Helen to kiss, creating a truly unique and unforgettable moment that the couple will cherish for years to come. The playful and lighthearted atmosphere of Dinofest perfectly complemented the joy and love of Helen and John’s wedding day, making it even more special and memorable.
The Adelaide Botanic Gardens provided the perfect setting for their special day, and we were thrilled to capture all the love and joy of their wedding celebration. Sneakys Wedding – Ash & Michael: A Beautiful and Unique Day
Weddings are always a special affair that brings together two people who love each other and have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. However, some weddings stand out from the rest and Ash and Michael’s Sneakys Wedding was truly unique.
As an Adelaide wedding photographer, I’ve been fortunate enough to capture many beautiful weddings, but this one was definitely special. From the moment I arrived at the Northern Adelaide wedding venue, I could sense that this was going to be a day to remember – simply editing this wedding was a delight as everything was just perfect!
Preparation
As I made my way to Michael’s best man’s house, where he was being prepared, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and jovial, and I could see that Michael and his son were excited for the big day ahead.
The neat little granny flat out the back was the perfect place for Michael to get ready, and after playing some basketball with his son, we captured some beautiful moments of him getting dressed. And what better way to add some flair to the occasion than to borrow a purple muscle car for some pre-wedding photos? Michael and his best man certainly knew how to make the most of their time together before the ceremony.

Meanwhile, at Ash and Michael’s house, preparations were well underway. The girls were having the final touches put on their hair and makeup, and the atmosphere was lively and fun-filled. Ash looked stunning in her wedding dress, and as she prepared for her big moment, we took some beautiful shots of her in the park across the road, where she had a lovely first look with her dad. It was such a heartwarming moment, and I knew that the ceremony was going to be equally special.

Sneakys Wedding Ceremony
Their Sneakys wedding ceremony took place on the large grassy area shaded by gum trees right next to the restaurant, which is a surprisingly beautiful venue! For another wedding at the venue, see Anna & Luis’ Sneaky's Restaurant wedding. The setting was absolutely perfect for the occasion, and as the guests began to arrive, you could feel the excitement in the air.
The wrestling references in the hilarious vows that Ash and Michael had written for each other were definitely a highlight, and I couldn’t help but laugh as I captured the moment. The sun was shining through the trees behind them, which made for some truly beautiful shots. The only downside was the location of the public toilet block, which was a bit too close for comfort, but it certainly didn’t dampen the mood.

After the ceremony, we headed to the nearby gum tree forest for some glamour photos, and I have to say, this was one of the highlights of the day for me as a wedding photographer. The sun was shining through the trees majestically, and we had a lot of fun popping champagne corks with the bridal party in front of the industrial-style shed wall nearby.
Hosting a Sneakys wedding means you’re able to use quite a variety of backdrops for your glamour photos! The young gum tree forest nearby provided the perfect backdrop for some stunning shots, and I was having a great time capturing all the beautiful moments. As the sun began to set, we headed out into the vineyards for some sunset shots, which were truly magical.

Sneakys Wedding Reception
Their Sneakys wedding reception was a lot of fun to be a part of. As it was a finger food reception, everyone was able to mingle all night, and the taps of the bar were certainly flowing freely all night long!
The speeches were hilarious, and everyone loved the junior bridesmaid‘s speech, which was definitely a highlight of the evening. As the night went on, the dance floor was packed, and everyone was having a great time. It was such a joy to see Ash and Michael surrounded by so much love and happiness on their special day.

Ash and Michael’s Sneakys Wedding was truly unique, and as an Adelaide wedding photographer, I was honored to be a part of it. From the preparations to the reception, everything was just perfect. The location itself was amazing; Sneakys, a Northern Adelaide wedding venue, was a stunning choice for a wedding.
The couple’s attention to detail was impeccable, and it showed in every aspect of the day. From the carefully chosen decor to the personalized vows, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. As a wedding photographer, it’s always a joy to work with couples who put so much thought and care into their special day. It truly makes for a memorable and enjoyable experience!
