Later in the evening, as the sun dipped lower, we slipped out again for a second round of photos. This is where the Barossa Valley really comes into its own. The vineyards catch that golden light in a way that feels almost unreal, wrapping everything in warmth and texture. The reception carried that same laid-back, inclusive vibe straight through the evening. Then came one of the most entertaining twists of the night—the photodash.

For those unfamiliar, it’s a fast-paced game where guests race to get photos with the couple before the end of a song. It’s chaotic in the best way. Groups pile in, laughter spikes, and the dance floor fills instantly. Bethany and Shannon had a clever ulterior motive though. It was all part of a plan to get Bethany’s dad onto the dance floor.

And it worked.
